In 1814 Abraham Wiebe of Tiegenhagen became the Ältester (Bishop) of the Gross Werder Mennonite Gemeinde. That year he started a baptismal register. This Gemeinde included the churches at Tiegenhagen, Ladekopp, Bärwalde, and Rosenort. Abraham Wiebe died in 1833 and the register continues until 1840. I have transcribed the register for the first decade. For some reason the baptismal candidates from Bärwalde are not included, except for the year 1834.
The two lists I have compiled are not in the original order but are arranged by family name and by year (then family name). In order to facilitate the entry of so name similar family and village names I have had to standardize these. This should also help in searching the lists.
